Start your Rally journey here!
This series of classes introduces the fun activity of Rally to you and your dog.
Rally 101
This introductory class presents the basic skills needed for success in the Rally ring, including attentive heeling, pace changes, position changes, fronts and finishes, and pivot work. Using fun, positive training techniques, this class will build teamwork between handler and dog in a supportive environment. This class gets you ready for our next level, Rally 102, where you’ll learn the Novice level signs/exercises and will start running mini courses.
If you’re ready to get started, but you’re not finding a Rally 101 class that fits your schedule, you may book Private Lessons with one of the Rally trainers to work through the same material.
Rally 102
This next level class introduces the Rally Novice Stations, all of which are performed on-leash. Building on the skills developed in the Rally 101 class, you will begin chaining behaviors together to follow a course. This class will provide an opportunity to continue working (and playing!) as a team. Basic ring procedures for Rally trials will be discussed, but the mental and physical exercise involved in performing the stations is equally fun for students who prefer not to compete.
- Enrollment – six consecutive weekly 50-minute class meetings at your designated day/time.
- Make-ups for missed classes are available as private lessons for an additional fee ($70 / half hour).
- Class Fee – $252
