Life gets busy, distractions pop up, and training can easily slide to the back burner. Just like your car, your dog’s training benefits from an occasional tune-up. This three-week class is designed to refresh and strengthen skills that may have slipped—or simply make them more reliable in everyday life.
This class offers a fun, practical way to “tune up” your dog’s existing training. We’ll be reinforcing behaviors your dog already knows rather than introducing new ones, so participants must have completed a basic manners group class (either at WAGD or elsewhere).
From there, we tailor each exercise to match where you and your dog are right now. Classes are interactive, upbeat, and focused on real-life situations. You’ll leave with training strategies you can continue using long after the class ends.
We’ll work on the things you need!
Polite Greetings: Reducing jumping when guests arrive
Leash Manners: Less pulling, better walk etiquette
Dogs must first complete Manners 1 and have approval to take Manners 2. Dogs who have completed our Great Dog Day School program can enroll without Manners 1, as long as they have their primary GDDS Trainer’s approval
If your dog is younger than 1 year, and they haven’t been in a class in 2 months or more, a new Class Readiness Evaluation is required.
If your dog is older than 1 year, and they haven’t been in a class in 6 months or more, a new Class Readiness Evaluation is required.
Dogs who have taken a group training class elsewhere can attempt to “test in” during a free Class Readiness Evaluation.
Enrollment – three consecutive weekly 50 minute class meetings at your designated day/time.
Class Fee – $120
Private make-ups for missed classes may be scheduled at the discounted rate of $45 / half hour. After enrollment, watch for a confirmation email with important details.
