What to Expect from Great Puppy! Day School
Our highly skilled, professional trainers are here to make puppy raising easier for you and your family. This 3-week drop-off program provides a safe and structured environment where your puppy gets the training, socialization, enrichment and other valuable life skills they need in order to become a confident, well-rounded companion for your family. We use positive, reward-based training methods making training a FUN experience for your puppy. Here’s what you can expect:
Great Manners
In Great Puppy! Day School, we teach your pup all the behaviors from all four Puppy Preschool topics, many of the behaviors from Manners 1 and MORE!

Socialization, Exposure and Handling
Puppies are in a critical period of their lives where they will start to develop their feelings about the world. Our trainers will expose your pup to many different sights, sounds, textures, people, dogs, and more. We want your pup to have a positive outlook on life and think new sights and sounds are no big deal! Here’s a sample list of things your pup will be exposed to:

We’ll also get your pup ready for happy vet and grooming visits. This includes prepping your pup for nail trims, brushing, vaccinations, and more.
Monitored Group Play With Other Puppies
Our professional trainers are experts in doggie body language and play. Your pup will be specifically placed with other puppies that match your dog’s play style and energy level so that this is a fun experience for your puppy. We want your pup to learn how to play well with other dogs, how to listen and read their body language and how to take breaks and come back to you when appropriate.



You'll Also Receive:
- Two Private Lessons with your pup’s trainer to help you with all things puppy! Lessons will cover teaching you to reinforce the newly trained behaviors, and can also include strategies for other problems you are experiencing at home with your pup.
- Daily verbal updates on your puppy’s progress at pick up as well as weekly report cards updating you on everything your pup learned that week and how you can continue that training at home.
- Access to our Great Dog Day School Facebook Support Group – You’ll see updates with videos and photos of your pup training and playing. You’ll also get expert, timely assistance from our trainers about any puppy problems that may pop up. You’re welcome to ask questions, share successes, and even connect with your pup’s school friends.
Enrollment Information
- Puppies must be 16 weeks or younger at the start of the program. If your pup is older than 16 weeks now, check out this page for info on our drop-off program for older pups and dogs.
- Puppies must have their second set of vaccinations at least five days prior to school starting, a negative fecal within one week of school starting, and a clean bill of health.
- Great Puppy! Day School will run Monday – Thursday for 3 weeks
(12 consecutive days unless modified holiday schedule or weather related closure). Drop-off from 7:30am – 8:30am / pick-up from 4:30pm – 5:30pm, perfect for busy families! - Our Great Dog! Day School is just $160 per day. The full amount of the 12- day program is $1,920 and is due at time of enrollment. Space is limited.
- Clients and their pups must attend a brief Day School Consultation session to ensure the program is a good fit for you and your pup and to learn important information on your role in helping your pup’s training be a big success.
