Private Lessons Online!

We are pleased to now offer Online Private Lessons!  You’ll get a 30 minute (phone or video call) consultation with one of our talented trainers. The consultation will be followed with an email from your trainer containing the strategies discussed in the consultation, in bullet point format. PLUS, you have the opportunity to get additional coaching from your trainer following your consultation. For each private lesson, you can send one follow-up email, including a video clip. Your trainer will respond in a timely fashion with her feedback.

1. Single Private Lesson: One 30 minute live (phone or video) session with real time instruction, summary email from the trainer, and one follow up email (may include a video clip) with questions answered. Fee is $50
2. Package of Private Lessons: Four Private Lessons as described above. Fee is $180

In-person Private Lessons (currently suspended)

Private lessons can be the ideal way to start your training or bring focus to particular problem areas. Your trainer will focus on your priorities, and help you meet your training goals. Our Pet Manners trainers are highly skilled with typical training issues like jumping on people, pulling on the leash, excitement around strange dogs or people, minor to moderate fear-based Issues, training obedience and tricks.

If your dog is experiencing more significant behavior issues, however, you will need to request your private with one of our Senior Trainers. With their extensive education and experience, they are qualified to help with the more challenging behavior issues:

• Reactivity to dogs (barking and lunging toward them)
• Fear related behaviors

Please note we are not able to accommodate aggressive dogs in our facilities. If your dog lunges aggressively toward people, or has bitten a person, we can help with a referral to a qualified behavior specialist. Puppy play biting is not included in this category.

Fees:

• Senior Trainers and Specialty Trainers are $50 / half hour.
• Standard Trainers are $40 / half hour.
• Private Make-up Lessons for missed Pet Manners group classes are at a discounted rate of $30 / half hour.
• All private lessons must be prepaid. Lessons must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance to be eligible for a credit or refund.

Ring Rentals (currently suspended)

Agility Rings

• Only current WAGD students in Agility Obstacles 3 or higher are eligible to rent ring time for practice.
• Lower level students with instructor approval are also able to rent ring time.
• Please review the agility rental policies prior to reserving time.
• All equipment must stay in place. For Richardson, call ahead for confirmation on what equipment is set up. Some weeks the contacts are taken down.
• Fee:
  • $20/half hour – can be shared by up to 3 WAGD students.
  • Must be prepaid. Eligible for a refund with at least 24 hours notice of cancellation.
  • Packages of 10 ring rentals (each a half hour) may be pre-purchased for a 15% discount.

Training Rings

• Only current WAGD students are eligible to rent the training rings for training practice.
• Squeaky toys should be avoided, as they disrupt other classes in the facility.
• Fee:
  • $10/half hour – can be shared by up to 3 WAGD students.
  • Must be prepaid, but are eligible for refund with at least 24 hours notice of cancellation.
  • Packages of 10 ring rentals (each a half hour) may be pre-purchased for a 15% discount.
