Help your adolescent go from terrible to terrific!
Have you completed Manners 1 with your teenage pup (6 – 24 months)? If your adolescent dog is a little hard to live with or struggles with impulse control, then this 6-week class is for you! This class can be a good step in between Manners 1 and 2 for the teenage dog. Think of it as Manners 1. 5. In this class we’re going to go over many aspects of this adolescent phase and how to live in harmony with your dog during this difficult age!
Just some of what you’ll learn in Terrific Teenagers:
- A better understanding the developmental changes your adolescent dog is going through and the tools needed to be successful during this stage
- How to increase your dog’s engagement with focus-building exercises and games
- Cooperative Care techniques to be more compliant and reduce stress when being handled
- How to build your dog’s resilience, helping them learn to deal with their impulsiveness and frustration
- Management techniques for jumping, mouthing, leash pulling, counter surfing, demand barking and more!
- Dogs must have completed Manners 1 (or higher level class) within the two months prior to this class starting or take a Class Readiness Evaluation (must be completed at least one week prior to your class start date, but no more than 1 month prior to class start date)
- Dogs must be current on vaccinations
- Review the Be Ready for Group Class page and the WAGD Policies page prior to enrollment.
- Class Fee – $228
- Six consecutive weekly 50-minute class meetings at your designated day/time
- Included Materials – class book
- Private make-ups for missed classes may be scheduled at the discounted rate of $45 / half hour
