Jennifer joined the What a Great Dog! team in 2023. She is a front desk team member and pet manners trainer.
Jennifer started working with dogs in 2016 as a dog walker and has had the pleasure of working with dogs in a variety of roles since then. She has also worked at a doggy daycare, as a groomer’s assistant and at a greyhound rescue.
She began her passion for training dogs when her miniature dachshund mix, Sunday, developed fear reactivity. She discovered how much implementing training into their routine eased Sunday’s anxiety. She first came to WAGD as a client in 2021 with her Italian Greyhound Birdie, a puppy at the time. Birdie went through puppy preschools, manners classes and is currently living her best life in our barn hunt program.
Jennifer completed the Karen Pryor Academy Dog Trainer Foundations course in 2024 and the WAGD trainer education program in 2025. Over the past year, she has been able to shadow and co-teach alongside nearly every WAGD trainer across all classes and programs. She is eager to continue learning more about rewards-based training through pursuing forms of continuing education. Her favorite thing about teaching is the opportunity to help owners help their dogs navigate our world through training. She believes all dogs are great dogs and would love the chance to work with you and your pup!
